The family vacation homes, both as villas and apartments are separate into 22 units.
Each one carefully crafted into the hill landscape.
With the resorts motto of restoration and reconstruction the architecture will be a mixture of original stone and modern material. Existing wall structures will be restored and intergraded into a modern living spaces, creating a unique ambient for those seeking private, exclusive living.
Each unit has its own private gardens enclosing a small piece of Istria’s culture and typical Mediterranean vegetation with native plants, respecting the existing nature, with traditional elements and artefacts scattered respectfully as a reminder both of the past and its influence on current culture.
Furthermore each unit will have a vineyard and solariums, Jacuzzis and swimming pools all set within a traditional architecture focusing on wood structures and stone walls. Focusing on the western slope of the hill each garden will have beautiful views of the surrounding landscape as bushes and low plants along the horizontal line of view and larger trees creating rooms of atmosphere, with unobscured long views over the beautiful hills, country side and ocean.
While also providing for open spaces for all to enjoy and meet where more focus is set on the stone pavements and respecting old wall structures. The walls and paths made from typical local stone found in Collalto the resort will have a sense of rustic tranquillity, while the use of water in pools, spas and fountains will keep a sense of freshness and purity.
With accent on simplicity, yet thoughtfulness, with both linear lines and cosines borders, well inserted and integrated into the landscape.
The site lighting will be carefully integrated into the landscaping and housing concept, making sure the ambient of the place is kept true to its natural integration. Walls, pathways, vegetation will be highlighted with lightest of touches, creating warmth and cosy atmosphere when the natural sunlight slowly disappears.
